Fraley competed in track and field for ESU from 1965-69. A native of Floral Park, New York, he won conference championships in the 100-yard dash in 1966, '67, and '68, and set a league mark in the event in 1968. He also was a member of the 440-yard relay team which captured conference championships in 1966 and '68. A team captain in 1969, he earned All-American honors in the 600-yard run in 1966 and held the ESU indoor record in the 440-yard dash. He was a member of teh distance medley relay team that won at the Kansas Relays, Arkansas Relays and Drake Relays. During his career, ESU captured conference championships in 1967 and 1968. He also was a member of indoor squads which finished fourth in the nation in 1966 and 1969.
