Nee was a track and cross country standout for ESU?from 1968-72.  He was a member of the 1968 cross country squad which finished second at the NAIA?National Championships.  He later earned NAIA?All-American honors at the 1971 national cross country championships with a seventh-place finish and at the 1972 outdoor track and field championships when he finished second in the 5,000-meter run.  He set a school-record in the three-mile run in 1972 and finished his career with the school’s second-best outdoor marks in the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters.  He won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship in cross country in 1971 and the three-mile run in 1971 and 1972.  A native of West Babylon, N.Y., he continued to compete in Australia following graduation.  He was a member of the 1975 Australian World Cross Country Championship team.
