Emily (Bloss) Carpenter was the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball National Player of the Year and Academic All-American of the Year as a senior.  She was the Most Valuable Player in the MIAA as a senior and graduated as second leading scorer with 1,915 points and fourth leading rebounder with 823 boards in Lady Hornet history.  She was named Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association. She was the CoSIDA Academic All-American Team Member of the Year and was named one of the NCAA's Top VIII award winners as a senior. She was also an All-American in track & field as member of 1600m relay team as a freshman.
