Carolyn (Richard) Davis played basketball for Emporia State from 1982-87 and set nearly every major record for the Hornets. A two-time NAIA?All-American, she is the school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,378 points and set a school standard by averaging 29.4 points in 1983-84. The Olpe resident set an ESU single-season mark by scoring 795 points in 1986-87. She was named CSIC?Freshman of the Year in 1983 and was a three-time All-CSIC?selection and All-District 10 honoree. She earned NAIA National Player of the Week after scoring a school-record 47 points against Benedictine. Ten years following her graduation, she still holds 19 major school records.
