Harry Kline was a two-sport letterwinner during his career from 1934-37. He won three letters in track & field, but is probably best remembered for his accomplishments in football, for which he lettered four years. Following the three seasons from 1935-37, Kline was selected to the all-conference team. He received all-state honors twice and was an all-America pick in 1935. Following his collegiate career, Kline went on to play professionally for four years with the New York Giants. For many years, his 87-yard punt against Fort Hays State was a school record. During his four-year football career at Emporia State University, he averaged just under 42 yards per punt.
