Hall of Fame
Dale Cushinberry played on the Hornet basketball team for three and one-half years from 1966-69. During his junior season in 1967-68, he established a school record with a 24.3-point scoring average, a mark still standing at the time of his 1982 Hall of Honor induction. Cushinberry’s 21.8-point average in 1968-69 ranked fourth in the ESU record books through 1982. He ended his career as the top rebounder and second-highest scorer in Hornet basketball history. When honored in 1982, Cushinberry ranked third in both categories in the record books.
