The Seneca, Kan. native was a NAIA 1st-team All-American linebacker in 1989. Koehler was a two-time All-CSIC and All-District 10 performer and is the ESU career leader in tackles with 413. He led team in tackles as a sophomore with 110, as a junior with 141, and as a senior with 119.  Koehler’s 141 tackles for the NAIA National runner-ups in 1989 was an ESU single season record at the time.
