Joe Weber was a football and track & field standout from 1922-26, earning seven letters in the two sports.   While lettering three years in football, he was twice named to the all-state team in 1924 and 1925.  He lettered four years in track & field and was the team captain in 1925.  At one time in his career, he had the school records for the high and low hurdles and, in 1926, set state records in the two events.  He also helped the squad win the 1926 Kansas Conference championship.
