Robinson played three seasons of basketball for the Hornets from 1984-86.  A native of Osawatomie, Robinson was a two-time first-team NAIA All-American and an honorable mention performer in his first year with the Hornets. He is the leading scorer in ESU history with 2,533 points and still holds 11 school records. The CSIC Player of they Year in 1986, he scored a school-record 48 points in a game against Missouri Southern. He averaged 21.5 points in his first season with the Hroents in 1983-84, 25.9 points in 1984-85, and a school record 28.1 points in 1985-86. He led the Hornets to a 31-5 record, a District 10 title, and a berth in the NAIA Tournament as a senior. Following that season, he played on an NAIA All-Star team during the summer.
