April 10, 2026-Emporia State track and field competed in two locations on Friday and came away with a combined nine top five finishes, five provisional qualifiers and another school record for
Stella Agbokpah.

The Hornets had five provisional qualifiers in eight events on Friday in Canyon, Texas.

Stella Agbokpah continued her record setting ways. A day after resetting her 200m record, she ran 11.57 to place fifth in the women's 100m with another provisional qualifier.

Isabella Davie turned in the second best heptathlon total in school history to place second. She had a provisional qualifier of 5,057 points to finish second in Canyon and become just the third Hornet to pass the 5,000 point mark in the heptathlon. Â She had a career best mark of 34.14m (112-0) in the javelin and then won the 800m portion of the competition to move into second place overall.

Barbara Bentum ran the sixth fastest time in Emporia State history in the women's 400m. Her time of 55.89 was good for ninth place at the Meaker.

The 4x400m relay team turned in a provisional qualifier to lead the men's efforts at the West Texas A&M Track Complex. The four some of
Braden Lipgens,
Israel Domeh,
Andrew Holton, and
Emmanuel Dukpe ran 3:11.22 to finish second.

 Dukpe had an individual provisional qualifier and season's best of 46.87 to finish fourth in the men's 400m.

Luke Grace turned in a career best 6540 points to place sixth in the decathlon. He had a career best 15.33 in the first event of the day the 110m hurdles. He fouled his first two attempts in the discus but was able to get a mark on his final try to stay in contention. He came back with a fourth place mark of 4.10m (13-5.25) in the pole vault before getting solid efforts in the final two events to for his career best points total.

Grizzly Gold Invitational
The Hornets produced six top five finishes on Friday night in El Dorado, Kan.

Aaron Quillen cleared 4.61m (15-01.00) to win the men's pole vault while
Jonathan Wille got over 3.91m (12-10.00) to finish third.

Dylan Hunter ran and outdoor career best of 14:56.19 to finish fourth in the men's 5000m.

Connor Deters had a season's best 48.47m (159-00) to finish fourth in the men's discus.

Mia Manley cleared 3.56m (11-8.25) to finish second in the women's pole vault.

Mason Bina ran 2:15.58 to place third in the women's 1500m.

The Hornets will wrap up their weekend on Saturday with the final day of the Grizzly Gold Invitational at Butler CC's BG Products Veterans Sports Complex in El Dorado, Kan.
