Isabella Davie has earned Emporia State's 71st Academic All-America® honor as presented by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). The multi-event performer was named Second-Team Academic All-American®.
Davie is a sophomore with a 4.00 GPA in health & human performance. The Australian was ranked 11th in the region and 20th nationally with 3,638 points in the pentathlon before scoring 3,704 points to finish ninth in the NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships in the event. Outdoors her 5,165 points in the heptathlon were ranked ninth in the region and 12th in the nation. She finished 15th in the nation in the heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Emporia. She was also regionally ranked 25th in the high jump, 27th in the 800m, 48th in the javelin and 50th in the 100m hurdles outdoors.
She is ranked second on the Emporia State all-time list in both the heptathlon and pentathlon while ranking fifth in the 600 yards indoors at 1:25.02 at this year's MIAA Championships and seventh in the 800m outdoors with a time of 2:13.20 in the final event of the MIAA Championships heptathlon.
This is the 14th time an Emporia State women's track & field athlete has earned Academic All-America® honors from CSC (formerly CoSIDA) and the first since Brianna Schmitz in 2019.
Davie is one of 11 women's track & field athletes from the MIAA named Academic All-America® this season, the most of any conference in Division II.
To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration in track and field, a student-athlete must have a top 50 regional ranking in at least one event, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.
Davie joins Hornet football linebacker Landon Boss and defensive back Tyler Schultze as the third Hornet to earn Academic All-America® honors for Emporia State this school year.
