Agbokpah Advances to 200m Final to Highlight Friday for Emporia State

ESU will have five competitors on Championship Saturday

May 22, 2026-Stella Agbokpah qualified for the finals of the women's 200m to highlight Friday's action for Emporia State at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
 
Agbokpah ran 23.38 to win her heat and qualify for the finals with the fourth best time of the day.
 
The men's 4x400m relay of Braden Lipgens, Israel Domeh, Andrew Holton and Emmanuel Dukpe ran 3:08.95 to finish tenth in the prelims. It would be a top five time at Emporia State had they not run a 3:08.77 earlier this season.
 
Domeh finished with a time of 21.21 to place 19th in the men's 200m.
 
Isabella Davie had a personal best of 2:13.20 in the heptathlon 800m to finish with 4840 points.  Her time is the seventh best all-time at Emporia State in the 800m and the third place finish was the best for her on the day in the heptathlon.  Lou Dumas finished with 4780 points.
 
Championship Saturday will begin at 12 noon with the men's javelin. Emporia State will have two competitors in the event, Brooks Lowe and Grayson Walburn.  Harper Schoendaller will throw the women's javelin at 3:00 p.m. and Connor Deters will compete in the men's shot put at 3:45 p.m. Stella Agbokpah will take the track at 6:20 p.m. in the women's 200m finals.
 
NOTES
Esther Conde-Turpin of West Texas A&M set the NCAA Championship Meet and Welch Stadium record with 6100 points in the women's heptathlon. She broke Blakelee Winn of Pittsburg State's meet record of 6007 set at last year's national championships in Pueblo, Colo. and Cheyenne Nesbitt of Saginaw Valley State's facility record of 6002 points set at the 2024 Championships.
Abigail Abugire of West Texas A&M set the Welch Stadium record with a time of 2:05.57 in the women's 800m. She broke Alaysia Brroks of Ursuline's mark of 2:06.07 set at the 2024 NCAA Championships.
Pittsburg State's 4x400m relay team of Woyn Chatman, Nate Watson, Logan Davis and Caden Williams set a Welch Stadium/Zola Witten Track record with a time of 3:06.00 to best Northwest Missouri's mark of 3:06.41 by Griffin, Monday, Arellano and Hare at the 2024 NCAA Championships.
