June 23, 2026-The Emporia State men's and women's track and field teams combined for 12 Academic All-District selections as selected by College Sports Communicators.

Aaron Quillen and
Cooper Schroer for the men's team along with
Barbara Bentum,
Isabella Davie,
Mia Manley, Harper Schoendaller,
Savannah Stewart and
Madison Vermetten were all named CSC Academic All-District for their work in the classroom.
Budke is a sophomore with a 3.94 GPA in social science education. He was ranked 17
th in the Central Region and 33
rd nationally with a mark of 63.19m (207-04) in the javelin.
Domeh is a sophomore with a 3.62 GPA in physical education. He was ranked fourth in the Central Region and 22
nd in the nation in the 200m outdoors with a time of 20.89. He finished 19
th at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Welch Stadium. He was also ranked 19
th regionally and 32
nd nationally in the indoor 200m while ranking 15
th in the region the 100m and 44
th in the region in the 400m outdoors.
Henry is a sophomore with a 4.00 GPA in accounting. Outdoors he scored 4450 points to rank 32
nd in the region in the decathlon after scoring 3729 points in the heptathlon to rank 36
th in the region indoors.
Lipgens is a junior with a 3.75 GPA in health & human performance. He was ranked 24
th regionally and 75
th nationally in the indoor 400m with a time of 48.13 while his outdoor best of 47.74 was ranked 20
th in the region. He was also ranked 49
th in the region in the 200m.
Quillen is a senior with a 3.88 GPA in business. He was ranked 39
th in the region in the pole vault clearing 4.65m (15-03) outdoors and 4.53m (14-10.25) indoors.
Schroer is a junior with a 3.97 GPA in business. He ran 1:54.76 indoors and 1:54.86 outdoors to rank 34
th and 44
th respectively in the Central Region in the 800m.
Bentum is a sophomore with a 3.85 GPA in accounting. She was ranked eighth regionally and 39
th nationally in the 200m outdoors in a time of 23.92 after being ranked 12
th in the region and 52
nd in the nation with a time of 24.44 in the 200m indoors. She ran 56.04 to rank 17
th in the Central Region and 60
th in the nation in the indoors 400m and was ranked 21
st in the region with a time of 55.67 in the outdoor 400m. She was also ranked 33
rd in the region in the indoor 60m.
Davie is a sophomore with a 4.00 GPA in health & human performance. She was ranked 11
th in the region and 20
th nationally with 3638 points in the pentathlon before scoring 3704 points to finish ninth in the NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships in the event. Outdoors her 5165 points in the heptathlon were ranked ninth in the region and 12
th in the nation. She finished 15
th in the nation in the heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Emporia. She was also regionally ranked 25
th in the high jump, 27
th in the 800m, 48
th in the javelin and 50
th in the 100m hurdles outdoors.
Manley is a graduate student with a 4.00 GPA in information systems. She cleared 3.63m (11-10.75) to rank 23
rd regionally in the indoor pole vault and was ranked 25
th in the region outdoors.
Schoendaller is a sophomore with a 3.96 GPA in health & human performance. She was ranked 14
th in the Central Region and 23
rd in the nation with a throw of 45.30m (148-7) in the javelin. She finished 22
nd in the nation at the NCAA Division II National Championships at Welch Stadium.
Stewart is a junior with a 3.99 GPA in health & human performance. She was ranked 25
th in the region after clearing 3.60m (11-9.75) in the pole vault outdoors and was ranked 48
th in the region indoors.
Vermetten is a senior with a 3.92 GAP in biology. She had a throw of 45.65m (149-9) to rank 20
th in the region and 54
th nationally in the discus while ranking 21
st in the region in the hammer outdoors. She was ranked 20
th in the region in the indoor weight throw.
To be nominated, student-athletes must place in the top 50 in the region in at least one event and maintain a 3.50 or better GPA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees for the men will be announced July 14 with the women to follow on July 15.
The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is partially supported financially by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the program.
