USTFCCCA Recognizes Emporia State Track & Field For Academics

Both men's and women's teams as well as 21 individuals honored

July 21, 2026-Both the Emporia State men's and women's track and field teams earned All-Academic Team honors from the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association while a total of 21 Hornets were named All-Academic Athletes by the USTFCCCA.
 
The Emporia State women's 3.62 team GPA ranked second among MIAA schools recognized while the men's 3.37 was third in the Association.
 
The Hornet men had 14 individuals recognized and the women had seen individual All-Academic Athletes mentioned.
 
All-Academic Teams awards require a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher based on all student-athletes on the NCAA squad list. Individuals must have at least a 3.25 GPA, finish in the top 50 on the national descending order list or participated at the NCAA Championships, or be on a relay ranked in the top 35 nationally or that participated at the NCAA Championships.
