March 14, 2026-Emporia State will come away from the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Championships with four second-team All-Americans.

Isabella Davie had three personal bests in the individual events on her way to the second highest point total in Emporia State history in the women's pentathlon. She scored 3,704 points to move past Deandra Doubrava (3672 in 1998) for second place in ESU history as she finished ninth in the nation. She started the competition with a personal best of 9.29 in the 60m hurdles and followed it by clearing a PR of 1.62m (5-3.75) in the high jump. Her final PR was 11.09m (36-4.75) in the shot put. She went 5.03m (16-6) in the long jump before finishing the competition with a time of 2:18.00 in the 800m.

Connor Deters was the first person to miss the finals in the men's shot put. He went 17.45m (57-03) to place tenth and earn second-team All-American honors.

Luke Grace scored 5,041 points to finish 12th and earn second-team All-American honors in the men's heptathlon.  He started day two with a time of 8.64 in the 60m hurdles and cleared 3.95m (12-11.50) in the pole vault. He finished the day with a time of 2:56.77 to place 12th overall.

The Hornets also got a second-team All-American honor on Friday with
Stella Agbokpah running 23.88 to place ninth in the 200m.

Emporia State is set to begin the outdoor season on Friday, March 27 with the ESU Spring Open.
