January 29, 2022-Emporia State had a school record, two provisional qualifiers and five top four finishes at the Wendy's/Pittsburg State Invitational on Saturday in Pittsburg, Kan.
 
Megan McManis set the school record in the women's pole vault with a provisional qualifying height of 12-06.75 (3.83m) to place third. 
 
The men's 4x400m relay team of Guy Ramos, Juwan Johnson, Jack Watson and Hayden Goodpaster ran 3:16.24 to finish third with a provisional qualifying mark.
 
The women's 4x400m relay of Jasmine Hurla, Abigael Reid, Makenzie Owings and Holli Marlow ran 4:00.66 to place fourth.
 
Taylor Milleson finished fourth with a mark of 41-7 (12.67m) in the women's shot put.
 
Goodpaster placed fourth individually with a time of 1:12.96 in the men's 600 yard run.
 
Emporia State will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Northwest Missouri for the two day Bearcat Invitational.  Action starts on Friday, February 4 and wraps up on Saturday, February 5 at Hughes Fieldhouse in Maryville, Mo.
