February 27, 2021-Emporia State qualified six men and one woman to the finals on the track during Saturday's first day of competition at the MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Topeka. In the finals.
Tanner Raubenstine qualified for the finals in the 60m and 60m hurdles with a third place finish in prelims in addition to placing seventh in the finals of the long jump. His time of 6.84 in the 60m is a provisional qualifier. He will be joined in the finals of the 60m by
Juwan Johnson while
Xavier Hall will run in the finals of the 60m hurdles.
Hayden Goodpaster qualified third in the 400m prelims and will be joined in the finals by
Brandon Rhone.
The men's distance medley relay placed seventh to score points for the Hornet men on the track.
Clara Eilert placed seventh in the pentathlon for the women.
Kadaisha Mpwo qualified for the finals in the 60m dash.
The MIAA Championships will conclude on Sunday at the Washburn Indoor Athletic Facility.
