February 13, 2021-Emporia State had three provisional qualifiers and six top five finishes at the Ichabod Invitational on Saturday in Topeka, Kan.
 
Tanner Raubenstine again highlighted the Hornet efforts.  He moved into the top five all-time at Emporia State in the 60m hurdles. His time of 8.17 is a provisional qualifier that is tied with Vincent Howze's time at the 2009 MIAA Championships for fifth in Emporia State history. He currently ranks 14^th in the nation. He also finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 22-11.25 (6.99m).
 
Travis Morrison's mark of 55-3.50 (16.85m) was a provisional qualifier and good enough for fourth on the day.
 
The men's 4x400m relay of Brandon Rhone, Guy Ramos, Hayden Goodpaster and Carter Cox ran 3:18.17 to place fourth.
 
Xavier Hall had the other top five finish for the Hornet men. He ran 8.33 to place fifth in the 60m hurdles.
 
Allie Barrett had the provisional qualifier for the Emporia State women, clearing 12-00.50 (3.67m) in the pole vault to place sixth.
 
Madison Runnion was fourth in the high jump clearing 5-03.75 (1.62m) for the highest individual finish for the women.
 
After competing each of the last four weekends, Emporia State will take next weekend off before returning to Topeka on February 27-28 for the MIAA Indoor Championships.
