April 15, 2026-Due to the threat of inclement weather the Emporia State softball double headers for this weekend have both been pushed back one day. The Hornets will now begin their double header with Northwest Missouri at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 and will play a double header against Missouri Western starting at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 at the Trusler Sports Complex.

Resetting the Sting into Spring Weekend: the ESU Relays collegiate track and field meet has been moved to a one day meet starting at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 16 with the high school edition moved to a single day on Friday, April 17 also beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Welch Stadium and Witten Track.
The Hornet baseball team is still scheduled to play game one of their three game series with #16 Central Missouri starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, although that is still subject to weather conditions on Friday evening.
The Emporia State women's match against #40 Missouri Western is still scheduled for Saturday, April 18 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex. Both Hornet baseball and softball are scheduled to get underway at 2:00 p.m. at the Trusler Sports Complex as the ESU baseball team plays game two against the Mules and the Hornet softball team takes on Northwest Missouri in a doubleheader.
Sunday will also be busy beginning with the women's tennis dual with #42 Northwest Missouri at 10:00 a.m. with the Hornet men taking on the #50 Bearcats one hour after the conclusion of the women's dual. Emporia State softball takes on Missouri Western in a double header starting at 1:00 p.m.
