2026 OTF Stella Agbokpah MIAA AOTW 4-14

Women's Track and Field | 4/14/2026 3:00:00 PM

April 14, 2026-Emporia State's Stella Agbokpah has been named this week's MIAA Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week as presented by Beynon – the official track surface of the MIAA. Agbokpah continued her record setting ways at the Jo Meaker Classic in Canyon, Texas. She has competed in three meets this spring and has lowered her time both of her events in each meet.

She shattered her own school record in the 200m, running 23.07 to finish third at the West Texas A&M Track Complex.  She bested her own record of 23.75 set last week at the ESU Midwest Classic. A day after resetting her 200m record, she ran 11.57 to better her previous school mark of 11.58 and place fifth in the women's 100m with another provisional qualifier.

Due to the altitude adjustment her mark for nationally qualifying in the 200m of 23.14 ranks third in the nation and is the top mark in the MIAA.  Her 100m time converts to 11.60 and would rank her 16th nationally although her time of 11.58 at the Midwest Classic last week is currently 13th in the nation.

The Emporia State women are ranked #40 in the nation while the Hornet men are ranked #30 in the latest USTFCCCA update.

Agbokpah and the rest of the Hornet track and field team will be in action on Thursday, April 16 in the ESU Relays at Welch Stadium and Witten Track.  There are nearly 600 athletes from 16 schools entered in the collegiate edition of the ESU Relays with 49 high schools and nearly 1,000 athletes entered into the high school ESU Relays on Friday.
