April 11, 2026-Due to the forecast of inclement weather in the Warrensburg, Mo. area the Emporia State softball double header at Central Missouri originally scheduled for Sunday, April 12, has been postponed and will now be played on Wednesday, April 22. First pitch of the double header is set for 2:00 p.m. from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg, Mo.
 
The next scheduled games for Emporia State will be against Northwest Missouri on Friday, April 17 at the Trusler Sports Complex.  The MIAA double header is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m. and is a part of Sting Into Spring at Emporia State.  The Emporia State baseball, softball, tennis and track and field teams will all be in action at home on Friday. All ESU students, faculty, staff, alumni and fans can enter to win prizes throughout the weekend at the various home venues.
 
The Hornet softball team is currently 23-14 overall and 9-7 in the MIAA. In their last game they defeated #18 Central Oklahoma 3-2 in Edmond, Okla. on April 9.
