March 19, 2026-The Emporia State men are picked for seventh and the women eighth in the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Coaches Poll.

Emporia State is set to host four regular season meets at Welch Stadium and Witten Track this season in addition to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 21-23.

The Hornets will open the outdoor season on Saturday, March 21 with a small group headed to the Jayhawk Spring Fling at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kan. The full team will be in action on Friday, March 27 at the ESU Spring Open at Welch Stadium/Witten Track.Â
