March 1, 2026-The Hornet men and women combined for four All-MIAA performances, another school record, nine provisional qualifiers, and eight marks that are within the top five all-time at Emporia State on the final day at the MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Hornet men placed seventh and the women eighth in the team standings.

Stella Agbokpah continued her outstanding freshman season as she set another school record in the 60m and ran the second fastest time in the 200m behind her own school record set on Saturday. She ran 7.54 to place third in the 60m and her 23.93 was good enough for second in the 200m. Both times are NCAA Provisional Qualifiers.

Barbara Bentum also had a pair of top five marks in Emporia State history. Her time of 24.44 placed her in fourth in the 200m and is second only to Agbokpah in Emporia State history. She also placed eighth with a time of 56.02 in the 400m. That is the fourth fastest time in Emporia State history.

Agbokpah and Bentum teamed up with
Mackenzie Sauerwein and
Isabella Davie to run 3:55.92 and place seventh in the 4x400m relay.

Mason Bina picked up the other individual points for the Emporia State women on Sunday. She ran 2:17.35 to place eighth in the women's 800m.

Braden Lipgens,
Alden Mollerus,
Andrew Holton, and
Emmanuel Dukpe closed the meet on a high noter for Emporia State as they ran a season's best 3:12.91 to place second in the men's 4x400m relay. It is the sixth fastest time in ESU history indoors.

Ezekiel Seamster had a pair of provisional qualifiers in the sprints for Emporia State. He tied Josh Schuler for the second fastest 60m time in ESU history with a 6.71 to place fifth. He then earned All-MIAA status with a time of 21.29 to place third in the 200m. That is the fourth best time in Emporia State history in the event.

Connor Deters had a season's best and provisional qualifier of 17.78m (58-04.00) to place fifth in the men's shot put. It is the fourth best mark in the shot put in Emporia State history.

Dukpe ran a provisional qualifier of 47.62 to place seventh in the men's 400m for the final individual points for the Hornets on Sunday.

Emporia State's provisional qualifiers will now wait to see who will advance to the NCAA Championships in Virginia Beach, Va. In two weeks.
