Top Ten Finishes for Emporia State Cross Country Teams at Greeno-Dirksen

September 20, 2025-The Emporia State cross country teams came away with a pair of top ten finishes in the Gold Division of the Greeno-Dirksen Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. The Hornet women placed seventh and the men tenth on Saturday morning.
 
Mason Bina finished in 46^th place overall with a time of 19:06.91 to continue to pace the Emporia State women.  Broolyn Nolte was the second Hornet finisher with time of 19:32.41 to place 66^th, Emma Bartholome placed 19:36.32 to finish in 70^th place, Elizabeth Wilhite was 99^th with a time of 20:04.23 and Heidi Grimmett rounded out the Emporia State scoring with a time of 21:22.61 to finish in 161^st place. There were 231 finishers in the women's race.
 
Dylan Hunter was the top finisher for the Hornet men running 26:06.55 over the eight kilometers course to place 70th overall. Carson Fouard ran 26:48.35 to place 113th while Treyton Laurance was 121st in 26:55.77, Evan Benoit ran 27:01.73 to place 127th and Jack Harty ran 27:10.86 to finish in 135th place and round out the Emporia State scoring. There were 315 finishers in the men's race.
 
The next action for Emporia State will be on October 4 at the Griffon Invite in St. Joseph, Mo.
