November 9, 2024-The 2024 cross country season came to an end for Emporia State on Saturday at the NCAA Division II Central Regional Championships at the Tom Rutledge Course in Joplin, Mo. The women placed 26th while the Hornet men placed 27th overall.
Dylan Hunter was the top finisher for the Hornets placing 101st with a time of 32:52.48 over the ten kilometers.
Luke Gleason ran 32:56.03 to place 105th while
Treyton Laurance was 159th with a time of 34:21.16.
Gage Chapman placed 183rd and
Ethan Finney was 197th to round out the Hornet scoring.
Mason Bina again led the women's team, finishing in a time of 23:22.46 over the six kilometers.
Catherine Lyons was the second Hornet to come across in 23:54.97 to finish in 143
rd place. Madelin Martin ran 24:35.99 to place 159
th as the third Emporia State finisher.
Elizabeth Willhite as 176
th and
Emma Bartholome was 184
th to round out the women's scoring.
