January 6, 2026 – Emporia State cross country had eight athletes named to the MIAA Academic honor roll from the fall semester, with three from the men's team and five more on the women's side.
Gage Chapman,
Dylan Hunter and
Cooper Schroer earned the honor for the men, while
Emma Bartholome,
Mason Bina,
Heidi Grimmett,
Koe Schultz and
Elizabeth Willhite were the athletes recognized on the women's side.
To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
These academic awards do not include first-year freshmen or first-year transfers. The MIAA will release its Newcomer Academic Awards from the 2025-26 academic year in the summer of 2026.
