Hornet Volleyball Listed in First Central Regional Rankings

November 5, 2025 – The NCAA released their first edition of the regional rankings on Wednesday, and Emporia State was one of the ten teams listed.
 
The Hornets were one of six MIAA teams featured, as the list is posted in alphabetical order for the first release.
 
Eight teams will be selected for the Central Regional after the conclusion of conference tournaments, with the three automatic qualifiers being tournament champions from the NSIC, MIAA and GAC. The remaining five spots will be selected as at-large bids from the five remaining highest ranked teams in the regional rankings.
 
Emporia State will be on the road this week, as they take on Fort Hays State on Friday, with #3 Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday.
