Emporia State Basketball to Host Late Night at White
Get ready, Hornet Nation—Late Night at White is back on Wednesday, November 5th, and you won’t want to miss it! A key part of Emporia’s Year of Celebration, this year’s event will be one to remember.
The doors to White Auditorium open at 6:30 p.m., with the spotlight show starting at 7:30 p.m. as the lights go down and the excitement goes up. Fans will get their first look at the 2025–26 Hornets and Lady Hornets, introduced one by one under the arena spotlight.

A Night of Fun & Competition
After introductions, the action shifts to the court with contests and entertainment that showcase the talent and energy of both teams:
Women’s Three-Point Contest – Watch the sharpshooters heat up from behind the arc.
Men’s Dunk Exhibition – High-flying jams that bring the crowd to its feet.
Fan Challenge – Fans will have a chance to win prizes along the way.
Intra-Squad Scrimmages – Both the Lady Hornets and Hornets hit the floor to give fans a taste of what’s to come this season.
Why It Matters
Hornet fans are known nationwide for their passion. Last season, both Emporia State men’s and women’s basketball finished 30th and 11th in the nation respectively.

Meet the Coaches
This year marks the start of a new chapter for Emporia State basketball. Tom Billeter enters his second season at the helm of the Hornet men, while MJ Baker makes her debut as the new head coach of the Lady Hornets. Both coaches will share their vision for the season during the event, setting the stage for an exciting year on the hardwood.
