January 20, 2025-The second ranked Emporia State women's disc golf team of
Atlanta Krueger and
Madeline Joiner delivered a statement win with an eight stroke win over #6 Clemson at the Florida Collegiate Classic this weekend.

The Hornets were in second place after Saturday's team play and moved into first following Sunday's singles competition. Emporia State and Clemson were the only teams to go under par on Monday, with ESU shooting a field best four under for the day. Krueger and Joiner took complete control with birdies on three of four holes between #5 and #8 to take an eight stroke lead. ESU parred out their final four holes to finish at -15 for the tournament.

The Emporia State duo of
Rebekah Thompson and
Maya Ringgold finished in fourth place at +9 for the three days after shooting +5 on Monday. The Hornets
Grace Watson and
Avangelena Campbell shot +27 for the day and +72 for the three days to finish in eighth place.

Both the Emporia State women and top ranked Hornet men are scheduled to play host to a Mid-American East Conference event on Saturday, January 25 at Peter Pan Park. Round one is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m.
