January 18, 2025-Emporia State's duo of
Atlanta Krueger and
Madeline Joiner are tied for second after the first round of team play at the Florida Collegiate Classic at the Olympus Disc Golf Course in Brooksville, Fla. on Saturday. The duo of
Rebekah Thompson and
Maya Ringgold are tied for fifth at -5 while
Grace Watson and
Avangelena Campbell shot +11 to rank seventh after day one.

Krueger and Joiner played even with Clemson's Noelle Erby and Missoury Wolff through 20 holes on the Olympus course. The Hornets parred their final hole, the par 5 sixth while the Tigers birdied it to take a one stroke lead.Â

The tournament will continue on Sunday with individual play at the Olympus Disc Golf Course.
