September 26, 2024-Emporia State will be sending ten players to the ITA Central Regional Tournament this weekend in Topeka, Kan.
 
Anton Sarunic, Alexis Mattenberger, Diego Calvin, Santiago Torres, Mostafa Elbasnaly and Roko Kacer will compete in the main draw of singles on Friday morning.  Gwendal Mazuay, Luke West, Harris Kossover and Jan Engel will play in the B Draw beginning after 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
 
Torres and Mattenberger, and Sarunic and Kacer along with Elbasnaly and West will start the competition in the doubles main draw at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.  Kossover and Calvo will play in the D Draw quarter finals at 8:00 a.m. on Friday while Mazuay and Engel were awarded a by into the semifinals and will not play in doubles until Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
 
The Hornets combined to go 36-15 in all singles and doubles matches at the George Milton Chicken Dinner Inviational on September 6-7 in Emporia.
 
All matches this weekend are scheduled to be played at the Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka.
