April 5, 2024-The Emporia State men and women are both in the top four heading into the final round of the Collegiate Disc Golf National Championships in Rock Hill, S.C.
The ESU Black duo of
Atlanta Krueger and
Maya Ringgold shot two under for the day on Friday and are -1 for the Championships. They are sitting in third place and are two strokes behind Clemson. Liberty is leading the field at -6 headed into the final round on Saturday.
The Emporia State Gold team of
Rebekah Thompson and
Sydney Snowden are in 16
th place at +29 after three rounds. The women will play their final round at the Winthrop Meadows Course on Saturday. The Gold team will tee off at 9:20 a.m. (ET) with the Black team set to go off at 10:30 a.m. (ET)
Emporia State's DI Men's team of
Isaiah Esquivel,
Justin Farrell,
TJ Reel and
Cade Kohlmeier went 14 under par on Friday and are -17 after three rounds. They are by themselves in fourth place, just one stroke behind North Carolina State and Cincinnati who are tied for second at -18. UNC-Charlotte leads the field a -22 heading into Saturday's final round. The Hornets will tee off at 11:10 a.m. (ET) on Saturday at the Winthrop Lakefront course.
The Hornets DII team of
Abram Brazzle,
Caden Stucky, Zachary Dyer and
Grant Yoder shot -6 on Friday to move to nine under after three rounds. They are in 18th place heading into Saturday's final round at Westminster Park East. They will tee off at 12:30 p.m. (ET).
