Emporia State Men's D1 Team Qualifies for Nationals

October 28, 2024-The Emporia State men's D1 team qualified for the national championships with a second place finish at the Midwest Collegiate Takeover this weekend.
 
The foursome of Justin Farrell, TJ Reel, Cade Kohlmeier and Micah Tatro shot 24 under over the three rounds to finish ten strokes behind Cincinnati. 
 
The Hornets opened up with a -14 in the first round before going just -3 under in the second round of individual play. They came back to shoot -7 in the final round but could not overcome  a -14 in the final round by the Bearcats.
 
Emporia State will be back in action on November 9-10 when both the men and women's teams will play host to the Mid-American Regional Championships in Emporia.
