May 27, 2022-The Emporia State men's 4x400m relay team ran their second fastest time of the year but missed the finals by .56 at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Allendale, Mich.
The foursome of
Guy Ramos,
Hayden Goodpaster,
Jack Watson and
Juwan Johnson ran 3:12.82 to finish fifth in the opening heat. CSU-Pueblo ran 3:12.26 to finish fifth in the second heat and nudge the Hornets out of the finals.
Despite missing the finals, Emporia State ran their second fastest time of the season and moved up two spots from their entry position.
The last competitor at the national championships this year for Emporia State will be Holly Brockmeier in the women's javelin. She is scheduled to throw at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 28 at the GVSU Track & Field Stadium.
