2019-20:
Johnson opened his season with the Hornets at the Wichita State Shocker Prelude where he ran a 6.91 in the 60 meter dash final. Johnson's best race came at the MIAA Indoor Championships where he ran a 6.85 60 meter dash and earned a spot in the finals where he ran 6.89 to place 5th for the Hornets, scoring 4 points. Johnson's outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19.
2020-21: Johnson had a strong indoor season in which he placed 7th in the 60 meters at the MIAA Indoor Championships with a time of 6.91. He continued his improvement into the outdoor season where at the Wichita State Open, he ran a PR of 21.58 in the 200 meters and 10.74 in the 100 meters. Johnson will look to score in those 2 events at the MIAA Outdoor Championships.
