May 17, 2022-Emporia State will be sending six athletes to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Allendale, Mich.
Alyssa Conway is ranked tenth in the women's hammer. She threw a school record of 189-8 (57.81m) in the hammer at the Alex Francis Classic. This is her second trip to the NCAA Championships in the hammer after finishing 14
th in the nation last year. She will compete at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26 at Grand Valley State.
The men's 4x400m relay team is ranked 12
th in the nation.
Guy Ramos, Jack Watson, Hayden Goodpaster and
Juwan Johnson ran 3:11.68 to finish third at the MIAA Championships. They will run the prelims at 6:50 p.m. on Friday, May 27 with the final scheduled for 4:50 p.m. on Saturday.
Holly Brockmeier is ranked 16
th in the women's javelin. She had a provisional qualifier of 149-7 (45.59m) at the MIAA Championships. It is the second best javelin mark in Emporia State history. She will throw at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 28.
Emporia State has had either the men or women score in every NCAA Outdoor Championship meet since 1994, a span of 26 straight meets.
