LAST TIME VS. THE BEARCATS
Emporia State blanked Northwest Missouri 4-0 at the ESU Pitch.
Hannah Woolery broke the scoreless tie in the 27th minute with her second goal of the season. It would remain 1-0 until
Mackenzie Dimarco scored with just 1:32 left in the half to give the Hornets a 2-0 lead at the break. Dimarco scored her tenth goal of the year in the 64th minute when she deflected a shot off a Bearcat player into the upper corner of the net for a 3-0 lead.Â
Daniela Cardona capped the scoring in the 80th minute as the Hornets reached four goals for the second straight game and third time in three home matches. Starting Hornet keeper
Jillian Patton was injured and had to leave the match in the 19th minute with no score.Â
Tori Bailey, who had been nursing an injury of her own over the previous four matches, came in and played the remainder of the match. The offensive explosion was aided by a defense that only allowed three shots by Northwest compared to 24 shots for Emporia State.
