Box Score February 28, 2018-Playing with just four players, the Emporia State women swept all of their matches played on the way to a 6-0 victory over Ottawa on Wednesday at the Kossover Tennis Complex, home of Milton Courts.

Kaley Clark and Sarah Durham got the Hornets started with an 8-2 win over Ottawa's Allison Garfield and Trecia Gonzaga at #1 doubles.  Shannen Meyer and Mariana Alvarez then picked up an 8-6 win at #2 doubles over Nicole Robbins and Stephanie Rodriguez.

Going to the singles play Meyer picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win over Rodriguez at #3 while Meyer defeated Gonzaga 6-0, 6-2 at the #4 spot.  At #2 singles Durham defeated Robbins 6-4, 6-2 before Clark won a 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-5) split decision at #1 singles.

The Hornet men will take on Ottawa on Thursday before both squads play exhibition matches against Cowley CC on Saturday.
