Box Score Box Score in htmlSeptember 5, 2014-Emporia State posted the largest margin of victory in school history with a 4-0 win over East Central (Okla.) in the MIAA-GAC Challenge in Searcy, Ark. Yadira Rivera posted her tenth career shutout and Jordan Foutch scored a pair of goals with an assist in the win.
Grace Linton got the Hornets on the board in the 13th minute on a cross from the left to the middle of the goal with assists going to Jordan Foutch and Liz High. Foutch made it 2-0 on a header to the upper left corner from Shannon Thomas in the 53rd minute. Foutch made it 3-0 in the 64th minute as she scored from the right side on a shot to the lower right corner from Jessica Schellhase. Kelsey Wakefield scored the final goal in the 82nd minute with assists from Perri Mulder and Schellhase.
Rivera had seven saves on 11 total shots from the Tigers.
The Hornets will play the host school Harding on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Searcy, Ark.
