Box Score Box score in htmlSeptember 12, 2014-The Emporia State soccer team got goals from Elizabeth High and Amelie Heun in a 2-1 victory at St. Cloud State to move to 3-0 on the season for the first time in the 14 year history of the program.
High got the Hornets on the board in the 28th minute and Heun gave Emporia State a 2-0 lead in the 60th minute. They were the seventh and eighth Hornets to score a goal this season after only seven players scored all of last season for Emporia State. The Huskies finally got on the board in the 81st minute on a goal by Abby McDonald. Yadira Rivera had two saves in the final 6:12 of action to preserve the win for the Hornets.
Emporia State will look to match the longest winning streak in school history on Sunday when they travel to #13 Winona State. Kick-off from Maxwell Field at Warrior Stadium in Winona, Minn. is set for 11:00 a.m.

The longest winning streak in Emporia State history is four matches - from September 4-12, 2004. All four wins took place at home.
