February 5, 2014-With their scheduled tournament in Durant, Okla. canceled due to the winter storm, the Emporia State softball team will head farther south to get in games this weekend. The Hornets will now play five games in Stephenville, Texas at a tournament put together by Tarleton State.
Emporia State will open the season on Saturday, Feb. 8 against Northwestern Oklahoma State at 12:30 p.m. and Southern Nazarene at 3:00 p.m. On Sunday Emporia State will play Harding in a single game at 3:00 p.m. and they will wrap up the tourney on Monday playing Harding and Southern Nazarene again.
NOTE: Southern Nazarene has replaced Henderson State in the field.
