April 8, 2026-After a four-year hiatus the ESU Athletics Summer Classic Golf Tournament and Auction returns this June.

"Our community and alumni have missed this event for the last few years," said Emporia State Associate Athletic Director for External Relations Zach Fief. "With the help of a committee put together of those constituents, we are excited to bring this back in 2026 and have it on an annual basis moving forward."

The action gets underway on Thursday, June 11 with the Pre-Party Dinner + Live Auction at Championships Landing.  Join Emporia State coaches, student-athletes and administrators for fun filled evening the night before the Golf Tournament. The party starts at 6:00 p.m.

The Summer Classic Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, June 12 at the Emporia Golf Course.  Check-in for the four-person scramble starts at 8:00 a.m. with a shot gun start at 9:00 a.m. In addition to the golf there will be various hole prizes and other on course contests.
Cost for the Summer Classic Golf Tournament is $250 per person or $1,000 per four person team. Included in the fee are admission to the Pre-Party + Auction on Thursday with a meal, and in addition to the golf on Friday, another meal, all drinks, and pastries at the golf course along with a gift bag for all golf participants.

Admission to the Pre-Party is included in the Golf Tournament registration, but if you would like to just attend the Auction, the cost is $20.

"Our goal this year is to get as many participants at the Summer Classic as possible, and for everyone to have a wonderful experience," said Fief.
