August 20, 2024-Due to the threat of a significant heat factor in Saturday's current forecast, and to ensure the safety of those attending, Emporia State has moved the Saturday Live at the Hive Downtown Kickoff event to Champion's Landing. 

With the change in location fans will be able to enjoy indoor air conditioning to cool off while Emporia State will provide free cups of water, a misting cooler and encourage all to be safe and stay hydrated.

The event will still run from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m.  and fans will still be able to meet Emporia State football, soccer and cross country student-athletes and coaches, sample local food vendors, play games and win prizes all while enjoying free live music from the band Undercover! The event will be emceed by KVOE/KFFX Hornet Football Sideline Reporter Tagan Trahoon and Emporia State Distinguished Alumni and Country Music Hall of Famer Mike Law.

Champions Landing is located at 1801 Rural.
