March 23, 2026 - Following a dominant Sunday start against New Mexico Highlands,
Quinton Chindamo has been named Co-MIAA Pitcher of the Week.
The freshman from Parkville, Mo. started the series finale against New Mexico Highlands on Sunday afternoon at Trusler and put together his best performance as a Hornet. Chindamo pitched 6.0 shutout innings, matching his longest outing this season, while striking out a career-high nine batters. In the third and fourth innings along he tallied five strikeouts including striking out the side in the fourth.
Chindamo earned the first win of his career and helped the Hornets secure the four-game sweep over the Cowboys.
Emporia State will be back in action at Trusler on Tuesday, March 24 as they host Fort Hays State in their first of three midweek matchups with the Tigers. First pitch from Turnbull Field is set for 3:00 p.m.
