Karyiek Dixon Earns All-MIAA Honors for Emporia State

March 4, 2025-Emporia State's Karyiek Dixon earned Third-Team All-MIAA honors in a vote of the league coaches.
 
In all games this season Dixon is fifth in the MIAA in rebounding, ninth in field goal percentage, eighth in steals and 20th in blocked shots. In conference only play he is fourth in rebounding, sixth in steals, eighth in field goal percentage, 16th in blocked shots, 23rd in free throw percentage, and 24th in scoring. He reached double figures in scoring 15 times and had three double-doubles in MIAA play. He scored a career high 29 points at Pittsburg State and grabbed a career high 15 rebounds at Northwest Missouri.
 
The Hornets will open up MIAA Tournament play on Wednesday against Central Oklahoma.  Tip-off from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo is set for 12:00 p.m.
