April 26, 2024-The men's 4x100m relay team qualified for Saturday's finals to highlight Friday at the Drake Relays for Emporia State.
 
The foursome of Kingsley Bennett, Ty Anderson, Isaac Tarango, and Carter Cox ran 41.37  to finish second in their heat. They qualified for the finals with the seventh fastest time on the day.
 
Individually Ty Anderson ran 10.62 to place 16^th while Kingsley Bennett was 21^st with a time of 10.67 in the men's 100m dash.
 
Jack Watson finished 13^th with a time of 48.20 in the men's 400m.
 
The 4x100m relay will run in the finals at 4:19 pm on Saturday at Drake Stadium.  The rest of the Hornets are scheduled to compete at the Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence, Kan. on Saturday.  Due to the threat of inclement weather, field events at Rock Chalk Park will start at 9:30 a.m. with track events set to start at 11:00 a.m.
