April 8, 2022-Emporia State had eight top ten finishes during the Friday night portion of the KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kan.
 
Holly Brockmeier had the top individual finish for the Hornets. She threw 131-9 (40.17m) to place sixth in the women's javelin. 
 
Dominic Jackson had the top finish for the Emporia State men. He ran 4:07.81 to place seventh in the men's 1500m.
 
Friday night's action at Cessna Stadium consisted of the Distance Carnival and the javelin throws.  The majority of the KT Woodman Classic will be held on Saturday with field events starting at 11:00 a.m. and the running events at 1:00 p.m.
