EMPORIA STATE WOMEN'S TENNIS SWEEPS TABOR

Box Score February 11, 2022-The Emporia State women's tennis team picked up their first win of the spring with a 7-0 victory over Tabor at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon.
 
The Hornets got off to a good start winning 6-0 at #1 and #3 doubles along with a 6-3 win at #2 to take the first point.
 
Micaela McSpadden and Anastasia Pesic won at #1 and #2 to put Emporia State up 3-0.  Paige Stranghoner and Karen Santiago Sanchez were up next on the indoor courts and ESU clinched the win with Santiago Sanchez winning 6-2, 6-1 at #3 while Stranghoner won 6-1, 6-0 at #4 singles.  Andrea Santiago Sanchez won 6-1, 6-1 at #5 and Viktoria Mackova won 6-0, 6-0 at #6 to complete the sweep.
 
The next action for the Hornet women will be on Tuesday, February 15 when they play host to Bethel.  The Emporia State men will play host to Tabor on Saturday, February 12 starting a 12 noon in the Kossover Complex.
