Game One
Emporia State fell behind 10-1 after four innings but scored 12 unanswered to take a 13-10 victory in the matinee.
The Hornets scored first when Brady Michel singled in Cooper Minnick in the first inning. The Ichabods got a solo homer from Eric Hinostroza to tie the game in the bottom of the first, then scored three in the second to go up 4-1. Peter Shearer hit a two run home run and Parker Dunn had a three run homer as part of a six run fourth for Washburn as they led 10-1 headed to the fifth inning.

Blake Carroll led off with a triple and came home on a balk to start the Hornets ninth inning comeback. Roduner followed with a double and went to third on an error by the right fielder.  Chandler Bloomer followed with an RBI single to make it 10-7.  Michel singled to send Bloomer to second to force the second pitching change of the inning for Washburn. With one out Jack Maki walked to load the bases and the Ichabods changed pitchers again.  Mooney greeted Casey Steward with a double to clear the bases and tie the game at 10-10.  Javier Pena was hit by a pitch and went to second on a double steal. Geekie then reached on a fielding error at third that allowed Mooney to score the go ahead run. The Ichabods made another pitching change with Brant Bennett coming in and Geekie promptly stole second to put runners at second and third.  Carroll, batting for the second time in the inning, laid down a bunt that Bennett threw away allowing both Geekie and Pena to score to make it 13-0.  Trevor Marreel became the fifth Ichabod pitcher of the inning and was able to get the final two outs.
Coleton Crisp came into pitch the ninth and retired the Ichabods in order to preserve the 13-10 win.
Brigham Mooney was two for five with a double, a homer, two runs scored and five RBI. Brady Michel went three for four with two RBI and a run scored while Christian Roduner was three for five with two runs scored.
