Why did you chose Emporia State?
I loved to run! Emporia State gave me an opportunity to do that.  I loved the people I met on my visit and I knew I would fit right in with the group.

What was your favorite memory as a student-athlete at Emporia State?
We had a track meet in Dallas, on top of having my grandparents watch me run for the first time, I was able to see four time Olympic medalist Jeremy Wariner run the same event I did. Great experience.

What is your favorite non-sports memory from your days at ESU?
John Rich! Plus, being in the inaugural class that started Beta Alpha Psi in the business school with Dr. Durler.  I can't fail to also mention all my friends I still have to this day.  Oh yeah, one more thing, I met my wife there.

What is the greatest lesson you learned as a student athlete?
Never quit. Never give up.

What advice would you pass along to current student athletes?
No matter if you are the best on the team, average, or an All-American, you will benefit from being a student athlete.  Don't take it for granted.  Being a student athlete helped open many doors for me along the way throughout my career.
